On Jan. 17, 1961, President Dwight D. Eisenhower cautioned America about powerful generals, admirals, lobbyists and defense contractors who padded up and down the hallways of the White House and the Capitol. The former five-star general warned of the potential evils of “the military-industrial complex.”“This conjunction of an immense military establishment and a large arms industry is new in the American experience,” Eisenhower said. “The total influence — economic, political, even spiritual — is felt in every city, every state house, every office of the federal government. We recognize the imperative need for this development. Yet we must not fail to comprehend its grave implications. Our toil, resources and livelihood are all involved; so is the very structure of our society.”
Barack Obama, draws from the federal scientific establishment for appointments according to Obama and the Military - Industrial - Scientific Complex by Karl Grossman he needs to hear Eisenhower's warning again. This could lead to Obama making decisions that will be in the interest of the military industrial complex.
Our last president ignored Eisenhower's warning and in order for President Obama to not make the same mistake Eisenhower's warning needs to be sounded again.

1. I did not know that the Iraq war could have been started from industrial complexes in America.
2. Something I like about the article is that each paragraph flows perfectly into the next and the use of evidence.
3. I like the information, but you could have added more on how the industrial complexes affected the war.
4. What are the names companies that have influenced the Iraq war?
You state your thesis clearly and provide an explanation of a military-industrial complex.
The thesis of your essay is clearly stated, however you do not identify the specific actions of Obama that do not head Eisenhower's warning. You also do not state how Obama can avoid further establishing a military-industrial complex.
What specific actions of Obama do not follow Eisenhower's warning? How can Obama avoid further establishing a military-industrial complex?
